HolidayBookers is a pioneer in the field of tourism and hospitality management in India since time immemorial. Recently, with the ever booming tourism industry reaching new heights, the management of HolidayBookers has decided to go online in order to tap the wide spread market. The new avatar will not only be helpful in increasing the market reach of the organization but will also be helpful to our customers who can now book their dream tourist destinations right away from their homes. We have tie ups with premium hotels and we also offer the best tourist guides.

                                                

The requirements of the online portal are explained below. We request you to go through the same and contact us in case of any further clarifications.

1) The portal should have a home page which gives the reader a brief idea about the business.

2) Any user has to register him before placing an order. Only registered users should be allowed to login.

3) Before placing an order, the customer has to enter his details in the registration page .This will include his Name, Address, Contact details. (This will help us to keep a track of our customers for future reference).

4) Duplicate entries for the user name and email address should not be allowed. 

5) In order to counter spam users, verification code should be asked from the user to authenticate the presence of a human.

6) Once the Customer has entered his details, a mail should be sent to the mentioned email id as confirmation. He should be provided his user name and password for future reference.

7) After registering the user, the application should redirect him to the holiday package page. This page should enable the user to book a holiday package of his own choice. There are certain categories as per our business requirements which should be taken into consideration. They are as follows-: 

  a) We offer three types of packages- Silver, Gold and Platinum.

  b) There are certain price ranges with respect to the chosen package. When a user chooses a package, he should be asked to select a price range depending upon which the tourist destinations will be shown to him.

 c) The silver should have a range of packages from 1 Lac to 5 Lac. Whereas the gold should have a range of packages from 1 Lac to 7 Lac and platinum should have a range of packages from 1 Lac to 10 Lac. I n all the three packages, the user should be offered both national and international tourist locations. 

8) Once the package booking is done, the user should be redirected to the hotel room booking page where he/she can book a room by specifying the check-in and check-out dates in advance. The user should be able to book multiple rooms.

9) After booking the room, the user should be redirected to the payment window were there should be following modes of payment -:

        a) Net Banking

        b) Credit Card

        c) Debit Card

        d) Cash –on –delivery

The user should be able to choose either of the above modes of payment.

10) A payment confirmation window should come upon successful payment .The user should be then redirected to the feedback form. On the feedback form, the user should be asked to rate our services and any suggestion relating to improvement should be recorded in comments.

11) Finally, the user should be redirected to the contact us page. This page will contain our address, phone number and address for future communications.

Other Requirements:

·        As this is the first time ever we are introducing the online portal, we wish to have a user manual which will give a quick guidance of the website to our customers.
